All Aboard the Trolley! Transportation—Retro Style

There’s something about a trolley that makes you smile. The shiny cars with the polished brass and big windows are a nod to simpler times, when getting from point A to point B was an enjoyable and social occasion. Riding with your wedding peeps on an open-air trolley can be one of the one of the most fun excursions of the day.

Be sure to book early, and be specific about how long you’d like to have the trolley available and how far you want to go. Wherever this unique ride takes you, make sure the last stop is one where passengers are either at their final destination or can get a ride home. The advantages of incorporating a trolley into your plans are many, but here are the top reasons to call on this showpiece ride for your wedding transportation needs:

  • Arrive at the reception together and on time. After the last photo is snapped at your ceremony site, pile the cast and crew into a trolley and head on over to your reception. Everyone will get there at once, ready to make their grand entrance and start the fun.
  • Add a travelogue flavor to your photos. Picture your beautiful wedding party in a bright and breezy trolley, your gorgeous veil freely flowing as you ride merrily through the streets. This vintage transportation offers a postcard backdrop to any of your wedding shots. Time and weather permitting, you may also be able to make a few stops at picturesque spots for additional photo opps along the way.
  • Get a jumpstart on the party. The ceremony went off without a hitch, the flower girl didn’t cry, and you are finally husband and wife. It’s time to celebrate with your closest friends and family members, and you might as well begin as you travel to your reception venue. Remember, each trolley company is different — some allow food and drinks, and others do not. Before you sign a contract, be sure to review the rules so you can avoid any surprises and disappointments.
  • Fancy yourself a tourist. Most trolleys come with a built-in information system — the driver! He or she can share with you and your guests interesting facts and stories about the city where you were just married.

Going retro with your transportation can add a fun and whimsical touch, and your wedding party and others who join you will be happy to go along for the ride. All aboard! ~CM  Content Contribution~ Trolleys Inc.
